Erising promotes improvement of the hospital linen management system

With the support of Erising, the Centro Hospitalar de Tondela and Viseu adopted a more efficient and effective way of managing hospital linen where the gains are visible and recognized by all professionals.

The recent project that ERISING carried out at the Centro Hospitalar Tondela-Viseu “Distribution of hospital linen: process improvement” was highlighted in this SIC piece.

It is a source of pride to feel that ERISING has brought method, flow and organization to the hospital environment, and that it has allowed communication to be greatly improved and, above all, the guarantee that the client (the patient) receives clean and well-cared for clothes, duly delivered on time, and in the right quantity and quality. Regarding impacts, the project reduced the number of complaints (daily urgent requests for clothes) by 80%.
This project is the result of the 1st edition of the José Nogueira da Rocha Scholarship, launched by APAH – Portuguese Association of Hospital Administrators, with the support of SUCH and ERISING, which aimed to recognize and enhance the logistical support areas of the units that are part of the SNS, supporting their teams in developing the necessary skills so that they can proactively contribute to improving processes and transforming their organizations.

The success of the project is due to enormous teamwork carried out between ERISING, SUCH, Dr. Marlene Lopes and the tireless team of nurses and head nurses at CHTV.
